Electronics group takes on patent trolls The Consumer Electronics Association is urging federal regulators to rein in "patent trolls" through new legislation and other means, the legal news service Law360 recently reported. Patent troll is a slang term for people or companies who own multiple patents only so they can turn around and sue other companies for alleged patent violations.
